If so we are looking for full and part-time Advocates

Salary scale £19,998 - £23,473

BATIAS is an independent, forward thinking charity that supports, through the provision of advocacy, young people and adults with learning difficulties across South Essex . The organisation has recently secured additional funding and is looking to recruit advocates who will be expected to work across a range of projects based upon the required skills and experience. These projects include:

·         Formal advocacy

·         Debt and Finance advocacy

·         Citizen advocacy

It is expected that successful applicants will have an understanding of the Principles of Advocacy, relevant experience of supporting people with learning difficulties, a work record within health, social care or a third sector organisation and a commitment to promoting equal opportunities, choice and self-determination. They should also have a flexible approach and access to a vehicle (or a driver) as all roles will involve travel across South Essex to various locations to be able to fulfil the requirements of the position.
