Citizen Advocacy Services

BATIAS provides Citizen Advocacy in South and West Essex.

Citizen Advocacy is where a trained volunteer supports a client with social activities enabling them to have far greater access to their community. This could be joining the library, taking a pottery class, or simply going to watch the local football team play. They also encourage their partner to build up their confidence and their ability to speak up for themselves. A citizen advocacy partnership once established can last for many years, our longest is 20 years!

We are always looking for citizen advocate volunteers so if you feel that this is something that you would be interested in, do please contact the Grays office, 01375 389869.
