Brentwood MEPP Surgery Group

This is an open and informative session for people with learning disabilities to meet up with their local MEPP’s (Members of Essex People’s Parliament).  Group members are able to share their own life experiences, ideas and ask questions.

The group meets twice a month with the group members taking the lead and deciding the topics for discussion. This can be anything from community concerns, transport problems to Government reform and voting.

The group members usually attend on a regular basis because group activity gives them the opportunity to speak up, say how they feel and become empowered to have a voice on their key issues and concerns

The Facilitator, Angie, can often assist group members with signposting to other professionals and services within the local community that might be of help.
