BATIAS Independent Advocacy has an exciting opportunity.

 

We are looking for an Independent Advocate

This role is to support individuals through 1:1 advocacy support.

The role is for 15 hours /week.

NJC Scale 26-28,  £23,866 – £25,463 per annum @ 37.5 hours a week pro rata to contracted hours  depending upon skills and experience

The post is initially for 12 months.

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of independent advocacy within the Southend area, specifically supporting people with learning disabilities with non-Statutory Advocacy. We will provide on the job training, and after the probationary period advocacy qualification training will be offered. The role is community based in the Southend area, however the advocate must be able to travel to our head office in Thurrock for occasional meetings, and may be asked to take on additional casework on occasion across the South Essex area.
