Housing Support Advocacy
BATIAS are currently able to provide this service following a successful funding bid from Lloyds Bank Foundation.
The housing support advocate provides independent advocacy for adults with a learning disability and works with clients across Thurrock, South Essex and Southend.
The advocate supports clients who are making key decisions on changes to their accommodation
- going through transition as they move from living with their family
- people who are experiencing changes to their residential or supported living accommodation
- working with people following a move to ensure that the placement has been successful
The project is aimed at supporting clients, on a one to one basis, over a long term period ensuring the client is enabled to make informed choices on such a life changing decision.
To find out more information about this exciting project please contact our Grays office on 01375 389869 or by email to [email protected].
Our housing support advocate can then discuss their role and take new referrals for support (subject to suitability)
