My Voice Self Advocacy Group
Batias has been awarded new funding by the Big Lottery Awards for All fund to create a Self Advocacy group called My Voice | |
---|---|
The My Voice group is for people with learning disabilities to come together to discuss issues which concern them, and to raise their concerns with relevant authorities, for example the police, council, public transport | |
‘My Voice Self Advocacy Group’ aims to empower the members to develop their self-advocacy skills, to discuss subjects which worry them, and support one another to speak up for themselves, ask questions and understand the services and support available to them in their local community. | |
Do you want to meet up with like-minded people who want to make a difference in their community? Would you like to be supported in self-advocacy, to give yourself a voice on topics that are meaningful and you are passionate about? | |
